Milan have placed Anwar El Ghazi of Ajax at the top of their transfer wishlist, according to Sky Italia.
Despite only signing in the summer, Luiz Adriano looks set to leave the San Siro this window, with a club in China keen on the Brazilian.
The 28-year-old has struggled to impose himself since joining Milan, featuring in 18 Serie A games with nine starts and nine substitute appearances. In this time, he has scored just three goals.
Siniša Mihajlović has identified El Ghazi as the ideal replacement for the former Shakhtar Donetsk striker.
The report claims that Milan have sent representatives to a number of Ajax’s games this season, keeping a close eye on the development young Dutchman.
El Ghazi has made 13 appearances for Ajax in the Dutch Eredivisie season, with the 20-year-old registering an impressive total of eight goals and one assist during that time.
However, El Ghazi still has three years remaining on his current deal at the Amsterdam Arena, so it will not be a low-cost transfer for Milan.
