FC Porto are plotting to raid Roma for their eccentric winger Gervinho, claims the Portuguese daily O Jogo.
Following the departure of Dani Osvaldo, who joined Boca Juniors earlier in January, Porto are exploring the possibility of bringing in another attacker to provide competition for Vincent Aboubakar and André Silva.
Their search has led them to Italy, with the 28-year-old Ivory Coast international fitting their criteria of a relatively cheap but exciting forward that will add some much-needed experience as they continue to fight for the Primeira Division title.
Gervinho has featured in 14 Serie A games this season and has a decent goalscoring record in that time, finding the back of the net six times.
However, the report also confirms that a Chinese club are interested in signing the former-Arsenal winger, who may be tempted to move to the Far East due to the mammoth wages he would receive in comparison to joining Porto.
