The Republic of Ireland face Switzerland in an international friendly tonight with many high-class players on show. Premier League regulars will feature for both sides, as well as top players from many of Europe’s other leagues. In this article we highlight three players that could play pivotal roles in the outcome of this match.

Robbie Brady – Ireland

Brady plays for Premier League side Norwich, and has arguably been their best player this season. A versatile player, Brady can play all along the left side of the pitch, and is also able to play right-back. Brady starts the game at right back, but he will bomb forward and put crosses into the box.

Granit Xhaka – Switzerland

Xhaka has been a target for multiple Premier League sides, so I expect that many will be watching this game with a keen eye. He plays for German side Borussia Monchengladbach and will be looking to play an important role in the Swiss midfield. He has been comapred by some to Bastian Schweinsteiger.

Timm Klose – Switzerland

Klose recently joined Norwich City from Wolfsburg in January and has impressed many already. A proper old-fashioned centre-back who’s primary concern is to keep the ball away from the goal through any means possible. Expect to see Klose making the most of his height and strength to hold off the likes of Shane Long.
